School Programs

REAPS offers free school programs to assist teachers in educating students about environmental and sustainability issues, and the effect of the choices each of us make on reducing waste in our community.

Presentations are about an hour in length and are fun and interactive. Teachers can book multiple sessions across the school year as part of their curriculum planning or to tie in with significant days such as Earth Day. Programs can support the introduction of science concepts like ecosystems, the natural world around us, and lifecycles. Other programs focus on societal topics such as individual behaviour and economic systems. Whatever the topic, we’re sure your students will find them engaging and memorable.  

Programs focus on three themes: Environmental Awareness, Solid Waste, and the 7Rs. Popular programs like Salmonids in the Classroom and Adopt-a-Worm are in high-demand and limited due to bin availability, so make sure to express interest soon into the school year.

Covid – 19 Note: We are observing all Covid-19 protocols in place at schools, so you can feel safe inviting us into the classroom to deliver a live, interactive and fun presentation. If preferred, we are also offering a ZOOM presentation, or the PowerPoint slides to be shared with your students at your own convenience.
